
Megastar Chiranjeevi is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the Telugu film industry. The actor recently revealed that he would be collaborating with Dasara director Srikanth Odela for a project, tentatively titled Mega157. Since its announcement, Mega157 has garnered considerable excitement from fans across the country.
According to a recent report from Times Now, the makers of the film are reportedly trying to bring Rani Mukerji on board for a significant role. However, there has been no official confirmation from the producers regarding this development.

If the reports are true, Mega157 would mark Rani Mukerji’s second South Indian film, following her role in the 2000 film Hey Ram alongside Kamal Haasan. It is understood that the role Srikanth Odela is keen on casting her for is crucial to the plot and requires a well-known name to do justice to it.
Mega157 is expected to be a gangster action film, with Chiranjeevi playing the lead role. Set against the backdrop of the 1990s, the film will see Chiranjeevi’s character crafted to be both stylish and unique, while still reflecting his age. The film is being produced by Sudhakar Cherkuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Srikanth Odela had previously shared how working with Chiranjeevi was a rare opportunity, particularly as he is directing his third film. He mentioned, “I grew up watching Chiranjeevi’s films, and now I can’t believe I’m directing him.” He also revealed that Chiranjeevi finalised the script for the film within just 48 hours of hearing it.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi is also busy with his upcoming film Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta. The film, which is being touted as a fantasy action movie, also stars Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, Ashika Ranganath, and others in key roles. Vishwambhara is being produced by UV Creations, with MM Keeravani composing the music. Additionally, Chiranjeevi has signed on for a project with Bhagavanth Kesari director Anil Ravipudi. This film is expected to be a comedy, giving Chiranjeevi the opportunity to showcase his exceptional comedic timing.
